About the teacher: “as you start to walk out on the way, the way appears” ~ rumi ~
Danalynn’s path into whole body health started in Eugene Oregon in 1997, fearlessly seeking the jewel of a path that called her name. Starting with being a personal trainer, she made her way to many different fitness trainings and certifications and ultimately fell in love with Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of yoga.
Having not ‘fit’ into a few studios , even being asked to leave for not doing a handstand, DL was fueled by anger , then by compassion to find the right fit for her practice, for a practice that doesn’t judge, and allows freedom of spirit with in the guidelines of postures offered through yoga. When an old friend mentioned she was finding bliss in her yoga practice, Danalynn sought after a practice that would suit her and shortly after she became a Yoga Alliance registered teacher. Her rebel soul found acceptance and peace, and it has lead to a beautiful practice that she shares with a variety of classes she teaches.
Danalynn owns/operates out of Ormond Beach Florida, her own business, www.balancedbirthing.com Equilibrium…a balanced birth, a prenatal and postnatal one stop “shop” for fitness, childbirth education and nutrition. She is a certified HypnoBirthing Instructor, a certified Prenatal and Postnatal yoga instructor, and Red Cross trained in whole family rescue. She has just completed her LMT (licensed massage therapist) schooling and looks forward to offering that to her clients as well.
Danalynn believes that yoga originates in our hearts and blooms throughout our bodies, leading to our own unique practices. She is always humbled to guide classes, as we are all on our own journey and she learns from everyone in her classes. Healthy minds and healthy bodies are rooted in healthy lifestyles. Yoga is a key to unlock our strength and flexibility of mind and body.
